Salary:

Starting £19,740 + £2,880 (average of 6 sleeping shifts per month) = £22,620 pa    

to    

£24,520 + £2,880 (average of 6 sleeping shifts per month) = £27,400 pa.

+ Paid Training + Optional Overtime

You will be responsible for working as part of a team to provide support, nurturing, understanding and a positive role model for the children and young people placed in our Children’s Homes. Each home has 2 – 3 children and are aged between 11 – 17 years old.

You will be able to understand their trauma, help them through the difficult times and celebrate with them the good times. You will be responsible for recording, attending meetings ad adhering to the policies and procedures within the Home. You will need to engage with children and young people and above all inspire them to reach their full potential by listening to them, engaging them in activities and helping them excel in their education.

This role can be challenging at the hardest of times but extremely rewarding at the best of times.

Person Requirements:

· Due to the nature of this role, you must be 21+ to apply

· A Full Driving Licence

· Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check

· If you have lived or worked abroad for over 1 month you must be able to provide an official record/certificate/letter - which confirms you have undergone an Overseas (Criminality) check

· Already have completed or a willingness to complete NVQ Level 4 in Residential Child Care.

The role entails working on a shift rota, you will be required to undertake night duties as part of a regular pattern of work for which you will receive additional renumeration.
